Sophie and the wolf wandered out into the garden. Here in the dark it seemed as if every tree and shrub had come to life, judging by the giggles and shrieks emanating from them. Sophie was shocked to see a laughing
woman burst out from behind the roses, holding her dress closed as a beast, not even attempting to cover his true nature pursued her behind the asparagus.
Sophie was so shocked that she stumbled back and fell against the fountain.
“Hey, what’s your game, are you trying to squash me!”
“Eeww!” cried Sophie, as a large green frog hopped up her arm.
“Well that’s charming,” said the frog, continuing to hop until he reached Sophie’s shoulder.
“Wolf, get it off,” wailed Sophie, as the wolf helped her up.
“Wait, what if I told you I was a prince and I needed a kiss from a virgin to restore me to human form?” said the frog, as the wolf lifted him from Sophie’s shoulder and held him gingerly by one leg.
“I would say that you are a perverted frog, and to find someone else,” said Sophie, brushing the dirt from her
dress.
“In this court?” said the frog, gesturing about him.
“Wolf, kiss the frog,” said Sophie.
“I don’t want to kiss the frog, besides, what makes you think I’m a virgin?” asked the wolf, placing his hands
on his hips, the frog still grasped between his fingers.
“Well, you are aren’t you?”
“No! ... Okay, yes, but I told you that in confidence. I have a reputation to maintain.”
“Well then, throw the frog away,” said Sophie, as the wolf tossed the frog away across the lawn.
As soon as the frog hit the ground, he transformed into a handsome prince, who walked up and tapped Sophie on the shoulder.
“Marry me and I will make you my Queen,” cried the frog prince, kneeling down before Sophie.
Sophie looked at the prince and then back at the wolf, wondering whom to choose.
